Why start a GCC worship site in Strasburg?
For many years, some people have been driving from the Strasburg area to attend Grace Community Church in Winchester. Because of distance it becomes more difficult to be involved in church life or to invite friends and neighbors to come along. By opening a campus in Strasburg we create an opportunity for those who are already involved at GCC to have a similar worship experience closer to home.
There is another obvious reason, the Strasburg area is a growing. Many new people, who commute to work everyday to Northern Virginia, are choosing to live in Strasburg.
What can one expect of when they visit a Grace Community campus?
Although the venues are different, you can expect contemporary worship in a come-as-you-are environment. Our common vision, mission, and leadership will unite the campuses. The teaching will follow the same basic topic and outline. In other words, our campuses follow the same format.

At Grace Community, we’re focused on authentic faith, not just with the externals of religion. That means we live the same way Monday as we do on Sunday. Maybe that kind of authenticity appeals to you. We are committed to being people who are actively involved in worship, intimately connected in community, and passionately engaged in God's mission.
We know that there are wonderful churches in Strasburg that have a long history of ministry in the community. However, we think that our contemporary worship style, informal atmosphere, and life application teaching will attract people who don’t have a connection to a local congregation. We have no intention of “drawing” people away from other churches. It takes all kinds of churches to relate to all kinds of people. We are non-traditional in some regards but we hold onto Biblical teaching.

YOUTH MINISTRY
We believe that youth ministry is extremely important. We have a nursery and childcare for children up through the 5th grade. GCC has a vibrant middle and high school youth ministry at our main campus in Winchester. As we grow in Strasburg we plan to expand our activity here.
SMALL GROUPS
We focus on community because we believe that life change happens best in small groups. Jesus spoke to large crowds, but when he was trying to produce dedicated disciples, He gathered a small group to grow people in God’s grace.
That is why the model of the early church for community is the small group, "And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ." Acts 5:42
In the New Testament, Christians met in small communities to minister to one another, use their gifts, and learn how to be dedicated disciples.
