Who Is  Grace Community Church?


Where we came from:
Grace Community Church is part of the Brethren Church, Ashland, Ohio. Our official launch date was Sunday, September 27th, 1998. We are a member of the Willow Creek Association.

Our mission is to lead unchurched people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  Click here to see our core values.

Ministry Style:
GCC uses a style of ministry known as 'Seeker-targeted'. This means we structure our Sunday morning service to communicate effectively to people not familiar or comfortable with more traditional worship.  

Our Staff:

Senior Pastor - Mike Woods is the founding pastor of Grace Community Church and formerly served at Christian Fellowship Church, Ashburn, VA and Waterbrook Brethren Church, Edinburg, VA.   Pastor Mike attended Potomac State College of West Virginia University, Eastern Mennonite College, and Eastern Mennonite Seminary.

Executive Pastor - Jamie Jackson has served as chairman of the GCC management team since the fall of 2003 and began as the Executive Pastor in the fall of 2005.  Pastor Jamie graduated from Liberty University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies.  Jamie served as Associate Pastor of Youth Ministry at First Evangelical Free church, Overland Park, Kansas and Burke Community Church, Burke, VA.

Church Plant Pastor - Jeremy McClung has been on staff since May 2005 as an associate pastor and is currently leading an effort to establish a new church in Huntsville Canada.
